ERO’s national education evaluation reports are used by education providers, by parents and communities, and by the Government and its education policy makers.
This folder contains a summary of 12 of ERO’s 2007 reports that relate to schools. Six of these reports relate to aspects of curriculum, four to aspects of school governance and management, one to practice in a particular type of unit and one to a particular group of students.
Each report is summarised on a single page, with questions on the back to prompt discussion.
These discussions may help to identify areas of strength or areas for development to improve student learning and achievement in your school, unit or cluster. The summaries are a resource for self review and professional development. Teachers could use them for personal reflection on the quality of their own practice. They could also be used as a resource for syndicate or department staff meetings, or for school professional development.
This is the fifth edition of ERO’s summaries of reports from the previous year. We value your comments and would be interested to know if you find this format, including the prompt questions, useful. Please email us at info@ero.govt.nz if you would like to make any comment or suggestions.
The following questions can be used to help begin discussions in schools on the findings and conclusions of each ERO report.
For this report, the discussion questions apply to the curriculum materials used rather than to the school itself.
