Invercargill Schools Cluster Report (April 2007) : 01/04/2007

The Education Review Office (ERO) conducted an Education Review in each of the Invercargill schools during the first half of 2006. The evidence from the individual school reports was aggregated and analysed for a cluster report to develop overall findings about the quality of education across the schools involved in the Network Review conducted by the Ministry of Education.

This report is intended to inform the educational and wider community of Invercargill as they decide how best to meet the future needs of students, families and schools in their city. The report also provides information for the Ministry of Education and other agencies to plan appropriate support, professional development, and future educational initiatives in Invercargill.

This cluster report focuses on the aspects of schooling that were evaluated in the individual ERO reports. The report also discusses school performance issues, the educational initiatives begun since the Network Review, and ERO’s future action in relation to Invercargill schools.

The findings of the individual school reports, and this cluster report, reflect the stage of development of these schools a year after the Network Review.
