Review Officers

The purpose of the Education Review Office (ERO) is to serve our communities and ensure that ‘Our evaluation insights are a catalyst for change so that every child achieves success as a lifelong learner’.

ERO is seeking to appoint evaluators to the position of Review Officer. ERO Review Officers evaluate in either Māori medium or English medium early learning centres, schools, and Kahui Āko | Communities of Learning.

Successful applicants recruited as Māori medium evaluators can be based in Auckland, Hamilton and Wellington. Please indicate medium and location preference in your application. 

Successful applicants recruited to review in English medium can be based in Hamilton, Whanganui, Wellington, Christchurch or Dunedin. Please indicate medium and location preference in your application. 

Applicants should have:

  • tertiary qualifications in a relevant field; and
  • relevant experience in kura kaupapa Māori, kōhanga reo, schools and early childhood education (including Pacific Services); and / or relevant experience in evaluation
  • significant management or professional leadership experience
  • proven ability to work effectively in a team
  • high level analytical, written and oral communication skills in te reo Māori and/or English

Start dates are flexible and negotiable.  The starting salary for this role is set out in the Collective Employment Agreement.
