We’ve made improvements and changes to our website to make it easier for visitors to find the information they need.
We’ve had to suspend some of our regular publication for a short time. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Publication will resume soon after the site has been updated – from 19 April 2021 onwards.
Noticeable changes will include:

A new homepage to make it easier for our visitors to navigate the website and find the latest published information.

The last two school and early learning centre Review Reports will be available.
More changes over time will include working towards making our information more accessible to all our site visitors.
Will all my bookmarks and links stop working?
The URL — www.ero.govt.nz — will not change. However, you may find that some information that you have bookmarked will have moved or is no longer available.
From Monday 19 April 2021 search under these sections for specific topics:

Indicators and Framework documents will move to How ERO Reviews.

All other publications and videos will move to Our Research.
Will some information be removed for good?
Content older than two years, minus a few exceptions, will be archived. However, we can still provide archived information on request. Please email us with details of what you’re looking for.
Why did you change the website?
As the public face of our organisation, our website aims to improve the user experience with better accessibility and a plain language writing style.
Who uses the website?
Visitors come from a wide audience due to our unique position working within and across New Zealand’s schooling system.
Our work in evaluating and advising on the quality of pre-tertiary institutions provides information to parents, whānau, boards, principals, centre management, teachers, students and support staff.
I can’t find what I’m looking for
We are working through bringing more of our existing publications into the updated format but this will take some time to do. Some publications will be archived.
