Māori medium kura are reviewed by Te Uepū ā-Motu, our Māori Review Services team. We developed a review process with Te Rūnanga Nui o Ngā Kura Kaupapa Māori for Te Aho Matua kura. You will find links to the indicators, frameworks and assurance statements here.

In late 2021 ERO’s Chief Executive, Nicholas Pole, has given his assurance that only staff who comply with the COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order will be permitted to visit schools and early learning services from Monday 15 November 2021. By 1 January 2022, only fully vaccinated staff will be able to work at or visit schools and early learning services.

ERO is now resuming longitudinal (1 to 2 year) reviews but will not be restarting other individual school education reviews and reporting until later in the year. However, we do want to capture the learning and innovation that is happening in the sector at this time.
